You can't make the ads quit, and you never even see what your attention sells for. So I pulled my own data, saw what it was worth, and built the missing half.
Every third post is an ad, and you never saw a cent.
The parser that reads your file is open source. The published file is byte for byte the one this site serves, and its README shows how to check that yourself, and how to confirm it makes no network calls.
Every fix I tried was about opting out, and none of it worked. So I stopped trying to leave, and built a way to opt in instead, on my own terms.
You're opted in to all of it by default: the tracking, the ads every third post. Opt2In doesn't pretend you can disappear; it flips the deal: see what your attention is worth, and get better deals on brands you already use. Advertisers were always paying to reach you, so at least you get something out of the arrangement. What you get is the brand's own discount, never a cut of the ad money.
